Today I heard a mortal speaking to another, and it was not my place to be eavesdropping but alas, the news exchanged was far too exciting to miss. A debate between the two of them, a conflict on religion. I would have laughed at the hilarity at that very point, if I were not afraid of drawing unwanted attention to myself. They center their souls over a mere book, place the world's most mass marketed object, the crucifix in their living rooms, and look up to a being they have never met, while ignoring the mortal who requires their help at the side. They condemn violence on the television, but fail to realize that they are in the presence of a symbol of a man hung to death on a tree. I know far more about religion than any mortal but now, I am content to laugh at their stupidity.
